Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the James Cook Media website and our digital products, courses, memberships, and services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
James Cook Media ("JCM," "we," "us") provides storytelling and marketing education, software, and done-for-you growth services for authors, coaches, consultants, and experts. You can reach us any time at our contact page.
2. Purchases & payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are charged at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store your full card details on our servers. Access to digital products is delivered to the email address you provide, typically immediately after purchase. Optional add-ons and one-time offers presented during checkout are charged only if you accept them.
3. Refunds
We want the work to be worth it. For our self-paced digital masterclasses, if the material isn't right for you, contact us within 30 days of purchase and we'll issue a refund. Done-for-you services, planning sessions, and memberships are governed by the specific agreement provided for each; please review that agreement before purchasing.
4. Your license to use the content
When you buy a course or resource, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to access and use it for your own business. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly share, or repackage our content, templates, or materials without written permission. All content remains the intellectual property of James Cook Media or its licensors.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services — including attempting to gain unauthorized access, disrupting the site, scraping at scale, or using the Services for anything unlawful.
6. No guarantee of results
Our materials describe methods and examples, including past results achieved by us and by clients. These are illustrations, not promises. Your results depend on your own effort, market, and execution. Nothing on the Services is financial, legal, or professional advice.
7. Third-party links & tools
The Services may reference or link to third-party sites and tools (for example, our sister platforms and software we build on). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, James Cook Media is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. The Services are provided "as is."
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
